The OISD Superintendent Celebration Blog!

OISD had a great Homecoming Week! The Screamin Eagle Football Team defeated the Grady Wildcats and there were many alumni that attended.  Thank you goes out the Booster Club for decorating the town, the City of O'Donnell for holding an outstanding Cotton Festival and Mrs. Ash for planning and running a great Alumni Banquet.  It takes a lot to get the Homecoming Weekend rolling but this year was a good one!  Also, Congratulation to Katie Hernandez for being crowned Homecoming Queen!

Congratulations to Lincoln Graham! He won a scholarship for winning Reserve Breed Simmental at the Heart O'Texas Fair!  He is only in 5th grade and already making funds to pay for college!!

Congratulations to the Screamin Eagle Band for earning high marks at their contest on Saturday, October 19.  They did not qualify for state but they earned 1 2 2 - just under the mark.  Your hard work shows!

Congratulations goes out to Marcos Pedroza for earning the Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizen award for 2019-2020.  Anyone that knows him understands why!- He is Dependable and is an example of Leadership, Patriotism and Service.  An award well deserved!

Congratulations also goes out to the Eagle Cross Country teams.  Both teams qualified for Regionals! Great Job!

Superintendent Message

Welcome O'Donnell ISD Community to the OISD Superintendent Webpage!

It has been a blessing to serve the OISD students and community for the past nine years.  Before coming to O'Donnell ISD, I served as an English teacher and counselor at Irion County ISD and then as a counselor, principal and federal programs director at Carlisle ISD. I earned a bachelor's degree from Lubbock Christian University, masters from Angelo State University and doctorate from Stephen F Austin State University.   I was raised in West Texas and I consider the O'Donnell area home.  It is such a pleasure to work with a faculty and staff that cares daily for students in a kind and compassionate way.  I am honored to be a part of the O'Donnell Eagle family.

The Core Values of our District reflect the pride and respect the entire community holds for the students and all stakeholders in O'Donnell.

1.  Students First - Decisions are made in the best interest of the students.

2. Integrity - We are kind, respectful and honest.

3. High Expectations - All students and staff are expected to challenge and exceed expectations, never lowering them.

4. Strong Work Ethic - We value, recognize and exhibit a strong work ethic centered on care of the community and students.

The school board, administrators, faculty and staff welcomes you to our school!
